About MAARTIST
The person behind MAARTIST is Ma. Remedios Cecilia B. Peñaverde a.k.a "Remi, Ecel or Maricel" to her friends and family.
Graduated with a college degree in BFA majoring Painting, Remi is the epitome of an artist. She is a painter, a graphic designer, a classical singer and a hobbyist of all sorts of things.
Her idea of relaxation is writing stories, collecting images for her photo blog (www.blueichigo.tumblr.com) and people watching.
Remi considers herself average despite being told she's not, people who know her constantly praise her God given talents. Yet despite the flattery, Remi chooses to be humbled by it.
She considers life as an adventure awaiting to be experienced which is why despite her arts degree, Remi has several job experiences in different "unrelated" fields. She believes that its important to gather new knowledge of different things and this philosophy brought her to learning basic nihongo and voice dubbing. She also took a short course for Supplemental Education at Perpetual Help University.
At present, she is collecting paintings for her upcoming exhibit, finishing a story and hoping to get published, attending to her handpainted bag business and on the side juggling choir singing while also being a music ministry member for Singles for Christ.
